Joe Hoffman is Founder and Lead Instructor of Leadership Development Solutions.

He is a retired Prince George’s County Police Captain with 25 years of experience in Patrol, Homicide and Sex Crimes Investigations and has commanded Homicide and Internal Affairs Units. He has been a professional leadership trainer for over a decade.

Captain Hoffman received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in 1989, just before joining the Prince George’s County Police Department. Captain Hoffman received extensive investigative training from the FBI, the Department of Justice and many local agencies in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Leadership Development Solutions training workshops are tailored to the specific testing consultants that your agency uses to administer your promotion processes. Our workshops are specific to not only the testing consultant but to your specific exercises and dimensions being measured. This is the very real world training that Joe Hoffman received to earn his promotions to Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain on the very first attempt.

Dr. Wayne Burroughs, Ph.D was the founder of Promotion Test Training Inc.  Dr. Burroughs with over 30 years experience established himself as the father of Public Safety Assessment Center training.  Dr. Burroughs partnered with Captain Hoffman in 2012 and formed The Burroughs Group. The Burroughs Group quickly established itself as the most relevant and successful Assessment Center trainers in the country. This success lead to additional training opportunities in the private sector and in Law Enforcement.
